The App Library in iOS 14 and later does show all of your apps. It provides a convenient way to access and organize all the apps installed on your device. Instead of having multiple Home Screen pages filled with app icons, you can now find all your apps in the App Library.
When you first upgrade to iOS 14, the App Library is added as a separate page to the right of your existing Home Screen pages. You can access it by swiping right on your last Home Screen page or by using the search bar at the top of your Home Screen.
The App Library automatically categorizes your apps into different folders based on their functionality. For example, you’ll find folders like Social, Entertainment, Productivity, and so on. These categories make it easier to find specific apps without the need to scroll through multiple pages or use the search function.
In addition to the categorized folders, the App Library also provides an alphabetical list of all your apps. This list can be accessed by swiping down on the App Library page or by tapping the small search bar at the top of the page. From there, you can either scroll through the list or use the search bar to quickly find a specific app.
One of the benefits of the App Library is that it can help declutter your Home Screen. You may find that you don’t need as many Home Screen pages for your apps anymore because you can rely on the App Library to quickly and efficiently access any app you need. This can lead to a cleaner and more organized Home Screen layout.
If you want to hide some of your Home Screen pages and bring the App Library closer to your first Home Screen page, you can do so by following these steps:
1. Tap and hold on any empty space on your Home Screen to enter the jiggle mode.
2. Tap on the page dots that appear at the bottom of the screen to enter the edit pages mode.
3. You will now see all your Home Screen pages with a checkmark at the bottom. Uncheck the pages you want to hide.
4. Once you have unchecked the desired pages, tap on the Done button in the top-right corner of the screen.
By hiding Home Screen pages, you can make the App Library the first page you see when swiping right from your main Home Screen. This can further streamline your app access and make it even more convenient to find and launch your desired apps.
The App Library in iOS 14 and later shows all of your apps and provides a categorized view, an alphabetical list, and a search function to help you quickly find and launch any app on your device. With the ability to hide Home Screen pages, you can bring the App Library closer to your main Home Screen, reducing clutter and improving organization.
