What do you like to have in summers?

Answered by Tom Adger

During the summer, I absolutely love to have a refreshing glass of iced coffee or tea. There’s just something about the combination of the cold drink and the caffeine that wakes me up and cools me down at the same time. Iced coffee and tea are perfect for those hot summer afternoons when you need a pick-me-up but don’t want something hot to drink.

Another food that I crave during the summer is melons. Watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew are all incredibly hydrating and delicious. They have a high water content, which helps to keep me hydrated on those scorching summer days. Plus, they’re packed with vitamins and minerals, making them a healthy choice for a snack or dessert.

Mangoes are also a favorite of mine during the summer. They’re incredibly juicy and sweet, and they make the perfect addition to smoothies, salads, or just enjoyed on their own. I love the tropical taste of mangoes, and they always remind me of being on vacation somewhere warm and sunny.

Salads are a staple in my summer diet. I love to load them up with fresh, crisp vegetables like cucumbers, tomatoes, and bell peppers. I’ll usually add some grilled chicken or shrimp for protein, and top it off with a light vinaigrette dressing. Salads are not only refreshing, but they’re also a great way to get in a variety of nutrients and keep my body feeling light and energized.

Berries are another summer favorite of mine. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries – you name it, I love them all. They’re sweet, tart, and bursting with flavor. I like to enjoy them on their own, in yogurt, or as a topping for pancakes or oatmeal. Berries are not only delicious, but they’re also packed with antioxidants and vitamins, making them a super healthy choice.

Corn on the cob is a must-have for me during the summer. There’s nothing quite like biting into a juicy, sweet ear of corn. I love grilling it and slathering it with butter and a sprinkle of salt. It’s the perfect side dish for a summer barbecue or a simple weeknight dinner. Plus, corn is a great source of fiber and contains essential vitamins and minerals.

Lastly, fresh juice is something I always crave during the summer. Whether it’s a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or a blend of various fruits and vegetables, it’s a great way to stay hydrated and nourish my body. I love experimenting with different flavor combinations and adding in herbs like mint or basil for an extra refreshing twist.

These are just a few of the foods that I absolutely love to have during the summer. They not only keep me hydrated and refreshed, but they also provide my body with the nutrients it needs to thrive in the heat. So, grab a glass of iced coffee or tea, slice up some melons and berries, and enjoy the flavors of summer!
