How do I activate multiple users?

Answered by Jarrod Smith

To activate multiple users on your device, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your device. This can usually be found in the app drawer or by swiping down from the top of the screen and tapping on the gear icon.

2. Once in the Settings app, scroll down and tap on the “System” option. This might be labeled differently depending on your device, but it is usually located towards the bottom of the Settings menu.

3. In the System settings, look for the “Multiple users” option and tap on it. This will open the multiple user settings menu.

4. To add a new user, tap on the “Add user” button. This will prompt you to enter a name for the new user.

5. Enter a name for the new user and tap “OK” to create the user profile. You can choose any name you like, such as a family member’s name or a generic name like “Guest”.

6. Once the new user profile is created, you can switch between users by tapping on the user icon or avatar in the top right corner of the screen. This will display a list of all the user profiles on the device.

7. To switch to a different user, simply tap on their name in the user list. The device will then switch to that user’s profile, and they will have their own custom Home screen, accounts, apps, and settings.

8. Each user’s profile is independent and separate from others, meaning they can have their own personalized settings, apps, and data. This can be useful for sharing a device among family members or for creating a guest profile.

9. To remove a user, go back to the multiple user settings menu and tap on the user you want to remove. This will bring up a menu with options for that user.

10. From the user options menu, select “Remove user” to delete the user profile from the device. Note that this will also delete all the user’s data and apps associated with their profile, so make sure to back up any important information before removing a user.

By following these steps, you can easily activate and manage multiple users on your device, allowing each user to have their own personalized experience.
