Google Assistant can play Spotify! I personally use Google Assistant on my phone to listen to my favorite podcasts and music on Spotify. It’s really convenient because I can just say “Hey Google, play my Discover Weekly on Spotify” and it will start playing right away.
I’ve also tried using Google Assistant on smart speakers and smart displays like the Nest Audio and Nest Hub Max. It’s great to have the option to listen to Spotify on these devices, especially when I’m doing something around the house and don’t have my phone with me. I can simply say “Hey Google, play my Liked Songs playlist on Spotify” and it will start playing through the smart speaker or display.
One thing I really appreciate about using Google Assistant with Spotify is that it’s easy to control playback using voice commands. I can say things like “Hey Google, pause” or “Hey Google, skip to the next track” and it will respond accordingly. It’s a hands-free way to enjoy my music and podcasts.
In addition to playing specific songs or playlists, Google Assistant can also help with discovering new music on Spotify. If I’m in the mood for something new, I can ask “Hey Google, recommend some new music on Spotify” and it will suggest personalized recommendations based on my listening habits.
I find that Google Assistant and Spotify work seamlessly together, providing a convenient and enjoyable listening experience. Whether I’m using it on my phone or on a smart speaker/display, I can easily access my favorite music and podcasts with just my voice. It’s a great feature that enhances my overall smart home and music streaming experience.
