Can a Surface Pro run Valorant?

Answered by Michael Wilson

A Surface Pro can run Valorant, even the base model with a core i3 and 4 gigabytes of RAM. I was actually quite surprised at how well it ran on my Surface Pro 7.

When I first heard about Valorant, I wasn’t sure if my Surface Pro would be able to handle it. After all, it’s not a gaming laptop and doesn’t have the most powerful specs. But I decided to give it a try and see how it performed.

To my surprise, the game actually ran on my Surface Pro. It wasn’t the smoothest experience, but it was definitely playable. The graphics were a bit choppy and there was some lag, but overall, I was able to play the game without too much frustration.

I think one of the reasons why Valorant was able to run on my Surface Pro is because it’s not a very demanding game in terms of graphics. It has a more cartoony art style and the graphics settings can be adjusted to lower levels, which helps with performance.

That being said, I did notice that my Surface Pro’s fan kicked into high gear while playing Valorant. The game definitely put some strain on the system, and it got quite hot after a while. So, if you do decide to play Valorant on a Surface Pro, I would recommend using a cooling pad or keeping the laptop on a hard, flat surface to prevent overheating.

In terms of gameplay, I was able to play Valorant with a decent level of accuracy and control. The keyboard and trackpad on the Surface Pro worked well for the game, although I think using a separate mouse would be more comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

I was impressed with how well Valorant ran on my Surface Pro. While it’s not the ideal gaming device, it was able to handle the game and provide a playable experience. So, if you have an old laptop lying around, like a Surface Pro, there’s a decent chance you can also play Valorant on it. Just keep in mind that you may need to lower the graphics settings and take some precautions to prevent overheating.
