As a huge fan of Hunter x Hunter, I have to admit that it’s a tough question to answer definitively. Both Gon and Meruem are incredibly powerful characters in their own right, but comparing their strength is no easy task.
Gon, in his adult form, showcased an unimaginable level of power and determination during his battle with Neferpitou. His transformation granted him immense strength, speed, and agility, allowing him to overpower his opponent. His Rock ability, combined with his enhanced physical abilities, made him a force to be reckoned with. However, it’s important to note that this transformation came at a great cost, as Gon essentially sacrificed his potential to become a hunter.
On the other hand, we have Meruem, the Chimera Ant King. Meruem’s strength was evident from the moment he was introduced. His natural abilities, such as his incredible speed, strength, and intelligence, made him a formidable opponent. Additionally, his Nen abilities, such as his aura manipulation and En, further elevated his power. Meruem’s battle with Netero was a testament to his strength, as he was able to hold his own against the Chairman, who was considered one of the strongest hunters in the series.
In terms of raw power, it’s difficult to say who was stronger between Gon and Meruem. Adult Gon’s transformation was undoubtedly impressive, but it was a one-time occurrence and came at a great cost. On the other hand, Meruem’s strength seemed to be more consistent and natural, without any drawbacks or limitations.
It’s also worth noting that strength is not solely determined by physical abilities. Intelligence, strategy, and experience play a crucial role in battles. In this regard, Meruem’s intelligence and strategic thinking were on par with his physical prowess. His ability to analyze and adapt to his opponents’ techniques was remarkable.
It’s challenging to definitively say who is stronger between Gon and Meruem. Both characters possess incredible power, but they excel in different areas. Adult Gon showcased immense physical strength, while Meruem combined strength, speed, intelligence, and Nen abilities. It’s ultimately up to personal interpretation and preference as to which character is considered stronger.
