In my experience playing Minecraft, I’ve come across both bedrock and obsidian, and I can confidently say that bedrock is stronger than obsidian. Let me explain why.
Firstly, let’s talk about bedrock. Bedrock is a block that is found at the bottom of the world and serves as the boundary for the game. It is indestructible and cannot be mined or destroyed by players. Once bedrock is placed, it cannot be removed or altered in any way. On the other hand, obsidian is a block that can be mined by players, making it slightly less strong than bedrock. To obtain obsidian, you need to mine it with a diamond or netherite pickaxe. It is commonly found when water comes into contact with lava, creating a solid block that is resistant to explosions. Obsidian is often used in the construction of portals to the Nether, as it can withstand the intense heat and pressure of the Nether dimension.
While obsidian is strong and has a high blast resistance, it is not as unbreakable as bedrock. Players can mine obsidian and use it for various purposes, such as building structures or creating enchantment tables. However, even with its high durability, obsidian can still be destroyed by explosions from TNT or the Wither boss. This is where the distinction between bedrock and obsidian lies – bedrock cannot be destroyed or altered in any way, while obsidian has its limits.
Bedrock is the strongest block in Minecraft, followed by barriers and command blocks. Obsidian, while durable and resistant to explosions, falls slightly lower on the strength scale as players can mine and alter it. So, if you’re looking for the ultimate in unbreakable blocks, bedrock is the way to go.
