Is The Vampire Diaries tour worth it?

Answered by Phillip Nicastro

As a huge fan of The Vampire Diaries, I can confidently say that the Vampire Diaries tour is absolutely worth it. I had the opportunity to go on this tour recently and it exceeded all of my expectations.

One of the main highlights of the tour is the access to the Lockwood Mansion home, which is the main residence of the Lockwood family in the show. This is something that is not available on any other tour and it truly made the experience feel special. Walking through the halls of the mansion and seeing all the familiar locations from the show was a surreal experience that any TVD fan would appreciate.

The tour guides on the Vampire Diaries tour are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the show. They have insider information about the filming process, behind-the-scenes stories, and anecdotes about the cast members. It was so fascinating to hear these stories and it added a whole new layer to my appreciation for the show.

Throughout the tour, we visited various locations where the show was filmed, such as Mystic Falls Town Square, the Gilbert House, and the Salvatore Boarding House. Seeing these iconic locations in person was truly magical and it felt like stepping into the world of The Vampire Diaries.

Another aspect of the tour that I really enjoyed was the opportunity to take photos and recreate scenes from the show. The tour guides were more than happy to help us set up our shots and it was so much fun to pretend to be a part of the TVD universe for a little while.

The Vampire Diaries tour also takes you to Covington, Georgia, which is the real-life town that served as the backdrop for Mystic Falls. Exploring Covington and seeing all the familiar landmarks from the show, such as the Clock Tower, added another layer of authenticity to the experience.

The Vampire Diaries tour was an absolute blast and I cannot recommend it enough to any fan of the show. The access to the Lockwood Mansion home, the knowledgeable tour guides, and the opportunity to visit the real-life locations from the show all made for an unforgettable experience. If you’re a TVD fan and want to immerse yourself in the world of Mystic Falls, this tour is definitely worth it. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
