How many boxwood panels do I need for a backdrop?

Answered by Frank Schwing

To create a stunning backdrop for our dessert table, we decided to use boxwood panels. After some careful measurements, we determined that a 6.5 x 5 ft backdrop would be the perfect size for our space. So, we needed to figure out how many boxwood panels we would need to achieve this.

Each boxwood panel measures around 2 x 2 ft, which means it covers an area of 4 square feet. To calculate the number of panels required for our desired backdrop, we divided the total area of the backdrop by the area covered by each panel.

The area of our backdrop is 6.5 x 5 ft, which equals 32.5 square feet. Dividing this by the area covered by each panel (4 square feet), we found that we would need approximately 8.125 panels.

Since we couldn’t purchase a fraction of a panel, we decided to round up to the nearest whole number. So, we ended up needing a total of 9 boxwood panels to cover the entire backdrop. However, we wanted to ensure a secure and seamless look, so we decided to order an extra 3 panels, bringing the total to 12.

To assemble the backdrop, we planned to secure each boxwood panel together using zip ties or s-hooks. This would ensure that the panels stay in place and create a cohesive backdrop for our dessert table.

By using boxwood panels, we were able to create a beautiful and lush backdrop that added a touch of elegance to our event. The panels were easy to work with and provided a realistic and natural-looking background. Plus, the convenience of being able to secure them together with zip ties or s-hooks made the setup process a breeze.

For a 6.5 x 5 ft backdrop, we needed a total of 12 boxwood panels. Each panel covered an area of 4 square feet, and we secured them together using zip ties or s-hooks. This created a stunning backdrop for our dessert table and added a touch of sophistication to our event.
