To initiate a video chat or call on Snapchat, you can follow these simple steps:
1. Open the Snapchat app on your mobile device. Ensure that you have a stable internet connection.
2. On the main screen, you will find the Chat feed where your conversations are listed. Look for the name of the friend you want to call or have a video chat with.
3. Tap on your friend’s name to open the chat window. Here, you can send text messages, photos, or videos.
4. To start a video chat, locate the video camera icon at the bottom right corner of the chat window. Tap on it, and Snapchat will send a video call invitation to your friend.
5. If your friend accepts the video call, you can now enjoy a face-to-face conversation. You can see each other’s live video feeds through your device’s front-facing camera.
6. If you prefer to make a voice call instead, you can tap on the phone icon located at the bottom right corner of the chat window. This will send a call invitation to your friend.
7. Once your friend answers the call, you can start having a voice conversation. You won’t be able to see each other’s video feeds, but you can still communicate effectively.
It’s important to note that Snapchat for Web only allows you to send Snaps (photos or videos) and text messages. Snaps sent through the web version can only be opened and viewed on the Snapchat mobile app.
