How do I unhide a check in on Facebook?

Answered by Phillip Nicastro

To unhide a check-in on Facebook, follow these steps:

1. Open the Facebook app on your mobile device or visit the Facebook website on your computer and log in to your account.

2. Once you’re logged in, navigate to your profile page. On the mobile app, tap on your profile picture at the bottom right corner of the screen. On the website, click on your name or profile picture at the top left corner.

3. On your profile page, scroll down to find the section where your check-ins are displayed. It might be labeled as “Places” or “Check-ins.” Click or tap on it to view your check-ins.

4. In the list of check-ins, locate the one you want to unhide. It might take some scrolling if you have many check-ins. Once you find the desired check-in, click or tap on it to open the post.

5. After opening the check-in post, look for a small circle icon at the top right corner of the post. This circle represents the visibility settings for the post.

6. Click or tap on the visibility icon, and a drop-down menu will appear. In the menu, select “Visibility: Hidden” to change the visibility of the check-in.

7. Once you’ve selected “Visibility: Hidden,” the check-in will no longer be hidden from your profile. However, it might not immediately appear on your profile page. To bring it back to your profile, follow the next step.

8. On the left side of your screen or app, you’ll see a pane or menu that displays different sections of your profile. Scroll through the options until you find “Posts” or “Activity Log.” Click or tap on it.

9. In the “Posts” or “Activity Log” section, you’ll see a chronological list of your posts. Scroll through the list until you find the check-in post you just unhidden.

10. Once you’ve located the post, click or tap on it to open it. Then, look for an option like “Add to profile” or “Add to timeline.” Click or tap on it to add the check-in back to your profile.

That’s it! You have successfully unhidden the check-in on Facebook and added it back to your profile for others to see. Remember, the visibility settings you choose for your posts can affect who can see them, so make sure to adjust the settings according to your preferences.
