How do I get shovel blueprints?

Answered by Frank Schwing

To get the shovel blueprints in Animal Crossing New Horizons, you will first need to progress in the game and reach a certain point in the storyline. The first step is to donate 5 fish and/or bugs to Tom Nook. This can be done by catching fish and bugs using your net and fishing rod. Once you have collected 5 of them, go talk to Tom Nook and select the option to “I found a creature!”

Tom Nook will then ask you to choose which creatures you want to donate. Simply select the 5 you have caught and hand them over to him. After you have donated the 5 fish and/or bugs, Tom Nook will inform you that he has a special request for you. He will ask you to pick a spot for the museum to be built.

Now, you can head to the chosen spot and place the museum building kit. Once the museum construction is complete, Blathers, the owl, will arrive on your island. He will be in charge of running the museum and will give you the recipe for the shovel.

Blathers will approach you and express his gratitude for helping set up the museum. As a token of appreciation, he will gift you the shovel recipe. From this point on, you will be able to craft the shovel whenever you want, as long as you have the required materials.

To craft the shovel, you will need the following materials:
– 1 hardwood
– 5 iron nuggets

Once you have gathered these materials, go to a crafting station or DIY workbench. Select the option to craft and find the shovel recipe in your DIY recipes list. Choose the shovel and craft it using the required materials.

Having the shovel in your inventory opens up a whole new world of possibilities in Animal Crossing New Horizons. You can use it to dig up fossils, plant trees and flowers, and unearth buried items such as fossils, gyroids, and even bells.

Remember to make good use of your shovel and explore your island to discover all the hidden treasures it has to offer. Happy digging!
