How do I connect to BSSID WiFi?

Answered by Douglas Hiatt

To connect to a specific BSSID WiFi network, follow these steps:

1. First, make sure your device’s WiFi is turned on and enabled. You can usually find this option in your device’s settings menu.

2. Once the WiFi is enabled, you’ll need to find the access point you want to connect to. This can be done by scanning for available networks. On most devices, you can do this by clicking on the WiFi icon in your taskbar or notification panel.

3. After scanning, a list of available WiFi networks will appear. Look for the access point with the desired BSSID (Basic Service Set Identifier). The BSSID is a unique identifier for each wireless access point.

4. Once you’ve identified the access point you want to connect to, press F2 on your keyboard or right-click on the network and choose ‘Connect Selected Access Point’. This will initiate the connection process.

5. If you have previously connected to this network and saved its wireless key in a profile, you’ll be connected instantly. However, if this is your first time connecting to the network, you may be prompted to enter the wireless key or password. In that case, enter the key and click on “Connect” or “Join”.

6. After successfully connecting, your device will establish a connection with the selected access point and you’ll be able to access the internet or local network associated with that WiFi network.

It’s important to note that connecting to a specific BSSID WiFi network may not always be necessary or recommended. In most cases, connecting to the network using its SSID (Service Set Identifier) or network name is sufficient. BSSID connections are more commonly used in advanced networking scenarios or troubleshooting situations.

If you’re unsure about which BSSID network to connect to, it’s best to consult with your network administrator or refer to any documentation provided by the WiFi network provider.
