To change your desktop view to mobile view on Google Chrome, you can follow these steps:
1. Open the website you want to view in mobile view on Google Chrome.
2. Press F12 on your keyboard to open the DevTools panel. Alternatively, you can right-click on the webpage and select “Inspect” from the context menu.
3. In the DevTools panel, you will see several tabs. Click on the “Toggle Device Toolbar” button located at the top-left corner of the panel. This button looks like a small mobile phone icon.
4. By clicking the “Toggle Device Toolbar” button, the DevTools panel will display a toolbar at the top of the screen, simulating a mobile device view.
5. On the toolbar, you will find a dropdown menu labeled “Responsive.” Click on it to open a list of available devices.
6. Within the list, you can choose a device to simulate. The devices are categorized as iOS devices and Android devices. Select the device that best suits your needs.
– iOS devices: This category includes various versions of iPhones and iPads.
– Android devices: This category includes different Android smartphones and tablets.
7. Once you select a device, the webpage will automatically reload, and you will see the mobile view of the website within the DevTools panel.
8. You can interact with the mobile view by clicking on links, buttons, and other elements, just as you would on an actual mobile device.
9. To exit the mobile view, simply close the DevTools panel by clicking the “X” button at the top-right corner of the panel.
Please note that changing the view to mobile only affects how the website is displayed within the DevTools panel. It does not change the actual view of the website on your desktop or affect the way other websites are displayed.
