To allow pop-ups on Mac in Chrome for all websites, follow these steps:
1. First, open the Chrome browser on your Mac.
2. In the top menu, click on “Chrome” and then select “Preferences” from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut “Command + ,” to directly open the Preferences menu.
3. In the Preferences window, click on the “Privacy and security” tab located at the left-hand side.
4. Scroll down and click on the “Site Settings” option under the Privacy and security section.
5. In the Site Settings menu, scroll down and find the “Content” section. Here, click on “Pop-ups and redirects”.
6. You will see the “Block” option selected by default, which means pop-ups are blocked on all websites. To allow pop-ups for all websites, you need to change this setting.
7. Click on the toggle switch next to “Blocked (recommended)” to turn it off.
8. Once toggled off, the “Default behavior” option will be activated. Click on it to expand the options.
9. From the options provided, select “Allow” to allow sites to send pop-ups and use redirects.
10. Close the Preferences window, and your changes will be saved automatically.
From now on, pop-ups will be allowed on all websites you visit in Chrome on your Mac. However, keep in mind that allowing pop-ups may expose you to potential risks, so be cautious while browsing unfamiliar websites.
If you ever want to revert to the default behavior of blocking pop-ups, simply follow the same steps and select “Block” in the “Default behavior” options.
Remember, it’s important to exercise caution while allowing pop-ups and only do so on trusted websites to ensure a safe browsing experience.
