In my experience, I have found that shiny Ditto does not make other Pokemon shiny when it transforms. Let me explain my findings.
Back in the days of playing Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, I encountered a shiny Ditto while exploring the Trophy Garden. It was an exciting moment for me because shiny Pokemon are rare and highly sought after. Naturally, I caught the shiny Ditto and added it to my team.
Curious to see if the shiny Ditto would pass on its shiny coloration when it transformed, I decided to test it out. I battled various Pokemon in the wild, trainers, and even my friends who were kind enough to lend me their Pokemon for experimentation.
To my disappointment, I found that regardless of whether the opponent’s Pokemon was shiny or not, the transformed Ditto would always take on the normal coloration of the Pokemon it transformed into. This held true for every battle I conducted.
I even went as far as battling against other trainers who had shiny Pokemon in their teams. Despite facing shiny opponents, my shiny Ditto would always transform into their normal coloration. It seemed that the transformation ability of Ditto did not extend to changing its own shiny status.
Of course, it’s important to note that my findings are based on personal experience and may not be representative of every situation. It’s possible that there are rare instances where shiny Ditto can transform into a shiny version of the opponent, but I have not come across such a case.
Based on my experiences in playing Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, shiny Ditto does not make other Pokemon shiny when it transforms. It will always take on the normal coloration of the Pokemon it transforms into, regardless of whether the opponent is shiny or not.
