Does iPhone 8 have speed dial?

Answered by Antonio Sutton

Unfortunately, the iPhone 8 does not have a built-in speed dial feature like some other phones. However, there are still ways to quickly access your favorite and most recent contacts on your iPhone 8.

One option is to use the iOS 8 update’s improved app switcher menu. To do this, simply double-click the Home button on your iPhone 8. This will bring up the app switcher menu, which displays your most recently used apps.

Above the app switcher menu, you will see a row of contacts. These contacts are determined based on your recent activity and are intended to provide quick access to the people you contact most frequently. To contact one of these people, simply tap on their name or photo. This will bring up a menu with options to call, message, or FaceTime them.

If the contact you want to reach is not displayed in the app switcher menu, you can still access them quickly by using the search function on your iPhone 8. To do this, swipe down from the middle of your home screen to bring up the search bar. Then, type the name of the contact you want to reach. As you type, your iPhone will display matching results. Simply tap on the contact’s name to bring up their contact card, where you can choose how to contact them.

Additionally, you can add your favorite contacts to your iPhone’s Favorites list. This list can be accessed from the Phone app, by tapping on the Favorites tab at the bottom of the screen. To add a contact to your Favorites, simply go to the contact’s card in the Phone app, tap on the “Add to Favorites” button, and select the desired contact method (call, message, or FaceTime). Once added, these contacts will be easily accessible from the Favorites tab in the Phone app.

While the iPhone 8 does not have a traditional speed dial feature, these methods should help you quickly access your favorite and most recent contacts.
