Who Is The Riot Symbiote?

The Riot symbiote is a gray alien symbiote native to the planet Klyntar, which it left in search of a suitable host. Its host, Carlton Drake, was a scientist who had been exposed to numerous dangerous experiments and was desperate for power. The Riot symbiote granted him superhuman abilities such as enhanced strength, agility and durability, as well as the ability to adhere to surfaces and project an energy beam from its mouth that could incapacitate or kill opponents.

Although the Riot symbiote initially wanted to use its powers for good, it soon began to succumb to the darker side of its host’s desires. It fed off of Drake’s ambition, empowering him with its abilities in order to further his own goals. Drake used the symbiote’s energy beam on multiple occasions in order to eliminate enemies or gain an advantage during combat situations. He also employed its adhesive properties for infiltration purposes as well as for evading capture.

Aside from its offensive capabilities, the Riot symbiote also granted Drake with a degree of protection against physical harm; it was able to absorb most forms of damage, allowing Drake to survive even when faced with extreme danger. In addition, the symbiote possessed a healing factor that allowed it to regenerate any lost body parts or heal wounds quickly.

In spite of all its advantages however, the Riot symbiote ultimately proved too strong for Drake’s psyche and he eventually succumbed to insanity due its influence. Although he had initially seen it as an opportunity for power and control, Drake eventually became nothing more than a puppet whose strings were pulled by the powerful alien creature inside him. In time he lost control over both himself and his host body; leaving only an almost mindless beast that could only be contained by those powerful enough to oppose it.

Ultimately, despite being extremely powerful and possessing multiple superhuman abilities, The Riot Symbiote proved too strong for Carlton Drake’s psyche and ended up overtaking him completely before being ultimately subdued by those capable of containing it. Its legacy lives on however – both both in memory of those whose lives were affected by it’s power and in stories shared between comic book readers everywhere who recognize how this fearsome creature could have changed their world forever if not stopped in time.
