To reset your AirPods to factory settings and change the name, you can follow these steps:
On iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
1. Open the Settings app on your device.
2. Scroll down and tap on Bluetooth.
3. Find your AirPods in the list of devices and tap the “i” icon next to them.
4. Tap on “Forget This Device” and confirm the action.
5. Now, go back to the main Bluetooth settings screen and make sure your AirPods are not connected.
6. Put your AirPods in their case and close the lid.
7. Wait for about 30 seconds, then open the lid.
8. On the back of the AirPods case, you’ll find a small button. Press and hold it until the LED indicator on the front starts flashing white.
9. Keep the lid open and bring your AirPods close to your device.
10. A setup animation should appear on your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect your AirPods.
