To reset your Mac profile, you will need to log in using another admin account. Here are the steps to follow:
1. Log in with the name and password of the other admin account on your Mac. This account should have administrative privileges.
2. Once you are logged in, click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen and select “System Preferences.”
3. In the System Preferences window, click on the “Users & Groups” icon. This will open the Users & Groups settings.
4. On the left side of the Users & Groups settings, you will see a list of user accounts on your Mac. Select your user name from this list.
5. After selecting your user name, click on the “Reset Password” button located below the list of users. This will open the Reset Password window.
6. In the Reset Password window, you will be prompted to enter a new password for your user account. Follow the onscreen instructions to create a strong and secure password.
7. Once you have entered a new password, click the “Reset Password” button to confirm the changes.
8. After resetting your password, you can close the Users & Groups settings and log out of the current admin account.
9. log in using your own user account and the new password you just created. Your Mac profile should now be reset.
It’s important to note that resetting your Mac profile will remove any personalized settings or preferences you have made. However, your files and applications should remain intact.
