To remove and recreate an Outlook profile, follow these steps on the Right Networks Desktop:
1. Click the ‘Control Panel’ icon: Locate the Control Panel icon on the desktop and double-click it to open the Control Panel window.
2. Access the Mail settings: Within the Control Panel window, you should see various options. Look for the “Mail (32-bit)” option and click on it. This will bring up the Mail Setup window.
3. Remove the incorrect profile: In the Mail Setup window, you will see a list of your current profiles. Select the profile that you want to delete and click on the ‘Remove’ button. A confirmation window may appear asking if you are sure you want to remove the selected profile. Click ‘Yes’ to proceed with the removal.
4. Add the correct profile: Once you have successfully removed the incorrect profile, click on the ‘Add’ button to add the correct profile. This will open the New Profile window.
5. Create a new profile: In the New Profile window, enter a name for your new profile in the ‘Profile Name’ field. This can be any name you choose, such as your email address or a descriptive name that helps you identify the profile easily.
6. Configure the email account: After entering the profile name, click on the ‘OK’ button to proceed. You will now be prompted to configure your email account within the profile. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your email address, password, and any other required information. This will vary depending on your email provider.
7. Test the new profile: Once you have entered all the necessary information, click on the ‘Next’ or ‘Finish’ button to complete the setup process. Outlook will attempt to connect to your email server and verify the settings. If everything is configured correctly, you should see a successful connection message.
8. Set the new profile as default (optional): If you want to set the newly created profile as the default profile, go back to the Mail Setup window (step 2) and click on the ‘Show Profiles’ button. In the list of profiles, select the newly created profile and click on the ‘Always use this profile’ radio button. Click ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’ to save the changes.
By following these steps, you will be able to remove an incorrect Outlook profile and create a new one with the correct settings. Remember to enter the necessary information accurately to ensure proper configuration and functionality of your email account.
