To turn off microphone monitoring on my PC, I followed these steps:
1. First, I opened the Control Panel on my computer. I did this by clicking on the Start button and selecting Control Panel from the menu.
2. In the Control Panel, I located and clicked on the Sound icon. This opened a small window with various sound settings.
3. Within the Sound window, I selected the tab that says “Recording.” This tab displays all the available recording devices on my PC.
4. Next, I double-clicked on the default microphone device that I use. This opened another window with more detailed settings for the microphone.
5. In this new window, I clicked on the tab that says “Listen.” This tab allows me to control the monitoring settings for the microphone.
6. By default, the option “Listen to this device” was checked. This meant that I could hear my own voice through the speakers or headphones when using the microphone.
7. To turn off microphone monitoring, I simply unchecked the box next to “Listen to this device.” This disabled the monitoring feature, so I would no longer hear my own voice while using the microphone.
8. I clicked “OK” to save the changes and close the window.
By following these steps, I was able to successfully turn off microphone monitoring on my PC. Now, when I use my microphone, I no longer hear my own voice through the speakers or headphones.
