Growing up, I had the opportunity to work as a bagboy in a local grocery store during my high school years. It was my first job, and I learned a lot from the experience. As a bagboy, my primary responsibility was to ensure that customers’ items were properly bagged and ready for them to take home.
The job of a bagboy goes beyond simply putting groceries into bags. It requires attention to detail, efficiency, and excellent customer service skills. One must be able to organize items in a way that prevents damage and ensures that fragile items are handled with care. Bagboys must also be conscious of weight distribution to prevent bags from tearing or becoming too heavy for customers to carry.
