In my opinion, Red Corner is a decent movie but falls short of being great due to a few factors. In terms of visuals, Red Corner captures the atmosphere of China effectively. The cinematography showcases the vibrant streets of Beijing and the contrast between the modern cityscape and the more traditional aspects of Chinese culture. The production design also deserves praise for its attention to detail in recreating the courtroom and prison settings.
While Red Corner may not be a standout thriller, it still manages to be a thought-provoking film that raises important issues.
