A 5-tier macaron tower can hold a significant number of macarons, depending on their size and arrangement. To give you an idea, I recently used a 5-tier tower for my blue ombre macaron display, and it was able to hold a total of 56 macarons.
When setting up the tower, I carefully arranged the macarons on each tier, starting from the bottom and working my way up. I spaced them out evenly, allowing enough room for each macaron to stand upright without touching or leaning on each other. This not only created a visually appealing display but also ensured that the macarons remained intact and didn’t get smushed or damaged.
Each tier of the tower had a different number of macarons, as the size of the tiers decreased towards the top. The bottom tier, which was the largest, held the most macarons, while the top tier, being the smallest, could only accommodate a few macarons.
To be more specific, the bottom tier held around 20 macarons, the second tier held around 16 macarons, the third tier held around 12 macarons, the fourth tier held around 6 macarons, and the top tier held around 2 macarons. This distribution allowed for a visually pleasing and balanced display of macarons.
It’s important to note that the number of macarons a tower can hold may vary depending on the size of the macarons and the specific design of the tower. Additionally, if you prefer a denser display, you can arrange the macarons more closely together, which may allow for a higher number of macarons to be placed on each tier.
A 5-tier macaron tower has the capacity to hold a significant number of macarons, and in my experience, it was able to accommodate 56 macarons. However, the exact number may vary depending on various factors, so it’s always a good idea to plan and arrange your macarons accordingly to achieve the desired look and capacity for your tower.
