To delete a highlighted story on Instagram, follow these steps:
1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device and go to your profile by tapping on your profile picture in the bottom right corner.
2. Once you are on your profile, scroll down until you see the section called “Edit Profile.” Tap on it.
3. In the Edit Profile section, you will find a list of your Highlights. Highlights are the stories that you have chosen to save and feature on your profile. Find the Highlight you want to edit or delete and tap and hold on it.
4. After holding on the Highlight, a menu will appear with two options: “Delete Highlight” and “Edit Highlight.” Choose the “Delete Highlight” option.
5. A confirmation prompt will appear asking if you want to delete the story from Stories Highlights. Tap on “Delete” to remove the story from your Highlights.
Alternatively, if you want to add more photos or videos to your Highlight, you can choose the “Edit Highlight” option instead. This will allow you to select additional content from your saved stories to include in the Highlight.
Remember that deleting a Highlight will not delete the original story from your archive or your followers’ feeds. It simply removes the story from being featured on your profile.
