To reset your Apple Watch for a new user, follow these steps:
1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. You can easily access it by pressing the digital crown, which is the button on the side of the watch, and then tapping on the Settings app icon.
2. Once you’re in the Settings app, scroll down and tap on “General”. It’s usually the third option from the top.
3. In the General settings, scroll down again and look for the “Reset” option. Tap on it.
4. Now, you’ll see a few different options for resetting your Apple Watch. The one you want to select is “Erase All Content and Settings”. This will wipe all the data on your watch and restore it to its factory settings.
5. After tapping on “Erase All Content and Settings”, you may be asked to enter your passcode. This is an extra security measure to prevent accidental erasure of your data. Enter your passcode when prompted.
6. If your Apple Watch has a cellular plan, you’ll be presented with two options: “Erase All” and “Erase All & Keep Plan”. Choose “Erase All” to completely erase your Apple Watch. Selecting “Erase All & Keep Plan” will only remove your personal data and settings while keeping the cellular plan intact.
7. Once you’ve made your selection, your Apple Watch will begin the reset process. This may take a few minutes, so be patient. Your watch may also restart multiple times during the process.
8. After the reset is complete, your Apple Watch will be in its original state, as if it was brand new out of the box. You can now set it up as a new device for the new user.
Remember that resetting your Apple Watch will erase all data and settings, so make sure to back up any important information before proceeding. Additionally, the new user will need to pair the watch with their iPhone and set it up as their own device.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.
