To delete recent text history on an iPhone, follow these steps:
1. Open the Messages app on your iPhone. This is the green app with a white speech bubble icon.
2. In the Messages app, tap on the “All Messages” button located at the top left corner. This will display all of your recent conversations.
3. Now, tap on the edit icon in the top right corner. It looks like a pencil inside a square.
4. Once you enter the editing mode, you will notice that each conversation has a circle to the left of it. Tap on the circle of the conversation you want to delete from your recent text history.
5. After selecting the conversation, you will see a row of options appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap on the “Delete” button to remove the selected conversation from your recent text history.
6. If you want to delete multiple conversations, you can repeat the process by selecting the circles next to each conversation you want to remove and then tapping the “Delete” button.
7. Keep in mind that deleting a conversation from your recent text history will only remove it from the list of recent conversations. It will not delete the entire conversation or any messages within it. The conversation will still be accessible if you search for it or if the other person sends you a new message.
Additionally, if you want to remove a specific contact from your recent contacts list, follow these steps:
1. In the Messages app, tap on the “All Messages” button at the top left corner to view your recent conversations.
2. When you enter a phone number or name in the search bar, you might see suggested contacts. If the contact you want to remove appears as a suggestion, tap on the information icon (i) next to their name.
3. In the contact details, scroll down and tap on the “Remove from Recents” option. This will remove the contact from your recent contacts list.
By following these steps, you can easily delete recent text history and remove specific contacts from your iPhone.
