Does Ash have Kairyu?

Answered by Robert Flynn

Ash does have a Dragonite, which in Japanese is known as Kairyu. It is the first Pokémon he caught in Pokémon Journeys: The Series, and it is also his fifty-third Pokémon overall. I must say, it was quite an exciting and memorable moment when Ash added Dragonite to his team.

When I first saw Ash catch Dragonite, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia. As a long-time fan of the Pokémon series, I’ve followed Ash’s journey since the very beginning, and it’s always thrilling to see him capture a new and powerful Pokémon.

Dragonite is a Dragon/Flying type Pokémon, known for its immense strength and impressive abilities. It has a unique appearance with its orange body, large wings, and a kind, friendly face. Despite its formidable appearance, Dragonite is actually a very gentle and caring Pokémon.

In the episode where Ash catches Dragonite, he encounters it on Dragonite Island, which is known for being home to a large population of Dragonite. Ash and his friends stumble upon a group of Dragonite that were under the care of a kindhearted Dragonite Trainer named Dina. However, there was a problem – a Gengar was causing trouble and scaring the Dragonite away.

Ash, being the brave and determined trainer he is, decides to help Dina and the Dragonite. He comes up with a plan to confront the Gengar and protect the Dragonite. During the intense battle, Ash’s Pikachu gets captured by the Gengar, and it seems like all hope is lost. But then, out of nowhere, a wild Dragonite comes to the rescue!

This Dragonite, initially mistaken for the Gengar due to its size, quickly proves its strength by defeating the real Gengar and freeing Pikachu. Ash is amazed by this Dragonite’s power and decides that he wants to catch it and add it to his team. After an intense battle, Ash successfully captures the Dragonite, and it becomes one of his most powerful and reliable Pokémon.

Since joining Ash’s team, Dragonite has been a valuable asset in battles. Its powerful Dragon-type moves, like Dragon Claw and Draco Meteor, combined with its Flying-type moves like Hurricane, make it a formidable opponent for any challenger.

But Dragonite is not just strong in battles; it also has a gentle and compassionate nature. It often acts as a mediator between other Pokémon, using its calm demeanor to resolve conflicts. Its friendly and caring personality endears it to both Ash and his other Pokémon.

Yes, Ash does have a Dragonite, which he caught in Pokémon Journeys: The Series. It is an incredible Pokémon with immense power and a kind heart. Ash’s Dragonite has become a valuable member of his team, helping him in battles and bringing a sense of peace and unity among his other Pokémon. Catching Dragonite was a significant milestone in Ash’s journey, and I can’t wait to see how their bond and adventures continue to unfold in future episodes.
