Dogs, including Boxers, are opportunistic sleepers, meaning they will take short naps whenever they feel tired or have the chance.
Unlike humans, who have a set sleep schedule, dogs are dozers. In my personal experience with my own Boxer, I’ve noticed that he tends to take short naps throughout the day, especially after a particularly active play session or a long walk. He often finds a cozy spot in the house, like a soft bed or a sunny patch of floor, and settles down for a quick snooze. At night, he sleeps more deeply and rarely wakes up unless there is a disturbance or he needs to go outside.
