Socrates did teach Plato. I had the privilege of being Plato’s student and learning directly from him. Socrates was a renowned philosopher in Athens during the 5th century B.C.E., and he had a profound impact on Plato’s philosophical development.
I vividly remember the first time I encountered Socrates. He was known for his Socratic method, a style of questioning that aimed to stimulate critical thinking and self-reflection. Socrates would engage in philosophical dialogues with individuals, challenging their beliefs and probing deeper into the nature of truth and knowledge.
