Can you repost reels on Instagram?

Answered by Stephen Mosley

You can repost Reels on Instagram. Reposting a Reel allows you to share someone else’s content with your own followers. It’s a great way to show support for other creators and share interesting or entertaining content with your audience.

To repost a Reel on Instagram, you will need to download the Reel you want to repost and then upload it to your own profile. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Navigate to the profile of the user whose Reel you want to repost.
2. Look for the Reels tab on their profile and open the Reel you want to repost.
3. On the Reel viewer, you will see three dots menu button at the bottom right corner of the screen. Tap on it.
4. From the options that appear, select “Save to Camera Roll.” This will save the entire Reel to your device’s photo library.

Once you have saved the Reel to your camera roll, you can repost it on your own Instagram profile. Here’s how:

1. Open the Instagram app on your device and go to your profile page.
2. Tap on the plus icon at the bottom center of the screen to create a new post.
3. On the next screen, swipe right to access your camera roll and select the saved Reel.
4. You can now edit the Reel if you wish, by adding filters, captions, or other enhancements.
5. Once you are satisfied with the edits, tap on the “Next” button at the top right corner of the screen.
6. On the following screen, you can add a caption, tags, and location to your reposted Reel.
7. Once you have added all the desired information, tap on the “Share” button to post the Reel on your profile.

It’s important to note that when reposting someone else’s Reel, it’s good etiquette to give credit to the original creator. You can do this by mentioning their username in the caption or using the Instagram feature that allows you to tag the original creator in the post.

Reposting Reels can be a fun way to engage with other users and diversify the content on your profile. Just remember to always respect the original creator’s work and give credit where it’s due. Happy reposting!
