It is possible to post a reel without sharing it to your feed on Instagram. This feature allows you to upload your reel exclusively to the Reels tab, giving you more control over who sees your content. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device and tap on the “+” button at the bottom-center of the screen.
2. Select the “Reels” option from the menu that appears. This will take you to the Reels creation screen.
3. Now, you can either record a new reel by tapping and holding the record button, or you can upload a pre-recorded video from your device’s gallery by tapping on the gallery icon.
4. After selecting or recording your reel, you can edit it by adding text, stickers, effects, or adjusting its speed. You can also trim the video if needed.
5. Once you are satisfied with your reel, you will reach the sharing screen. Here, you can add a caption, hashtags, and tag people just like you would for a regular Instagram post.
6. To prevent the reel from being shared to your feed, tap on the slider next to the “Share to Feed” option. This will disable the feed sharing and ensure that the reel is only uploaded to your Reels tab.
7. If you want to save the post for later and not share it publicly, you can tap on the “Save as Draft” option at the bottom of the screen. This will save the reel as a draft in your Instagram app, allowing you to come back to it later and make any further changes before deciding to share it.
By following these steps, you can post a reel without it appearing on your Instagram feed. This feature is particularly useful if you want to experiment with new content or share something exclusively with your Reels audience.
