Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to pair four HomePods together. Apple only supports pairing two HomePods to create a stereo sound experience. This means you can have a left and right channel for a more immersive audio experience.
However, you can have more than two HomePods in the same room and control them as a single zone using the Apple Home app. This means you can have a pair of HomePods and add a single HomePod to the same zone, allowing you to play audio across all three speakers simultaneously.
To set up multiple HomePods in the same room, you can follow these steps:
1. Make sure all the HomePods are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and signed in with the same iCloud account.
2. Open the Apple Home app on your iPhone or iPad.
3. Tap on the “+” icon to add a new accessory.
4. Select “Add Accessory” and choose “HomePod” from the list of devices.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the first HomePod.
6. Once the first HomePod is set up, repeat the process to add the additional HomePods to the same room.
After setting up multiple HomePods in the same room, you can control them as a single zone. This means you can play the same audio across all the HomePods simultaneously, creating a more immersive sound experience. You can also control the volume and playback settings for the entire zone or each HomePod individually.
It’s worth noting that while you can have more than two HomePods in the same room, they will not be paired to create a stereo sound. Each HomePod will function as an individual speaker within the zone, playing the same audio but not providing a left and right channel separation.
Although you cannot pair four HomePods together for stereo sound, you can have more than two HomePods in the same room and control them as a single zone using the Apple Home app. This allows you to play audio across all the HomePods simultaneously, creating a more immersive sound experience.
