You can attach another email in Gmail without having to download it first. This feature makes it convenient to include important emails as attachments in your conversations. There are two methods you can use to attach emails in Gmail.
Method 1: Drag and Drop
1. Open the draft window of the email you want to attach another email to.
2. Locate the email you want to attach in your inbox or any other folder.
3. Simply click on the email and drag it into the draft window of the new email you are composing.
4. Drop the email into the draft window, and it will be attached as an email attachment.
Method 2: Forward as Attachment
1. Select the email you want to attach by clicking the checkbox next to it in your inbox or any other folder.
2. Once you have selected the email(s), click on the overflow menu (three-dot icon) located at the top of the Gmail interface.
3. From the menu that appears, select “Forward as attachment.”
4. A new draft window will open with the selected email(s) attached as an attachment.
Both methods allow you to attach emails within a new thread or conversation, making it easy to share important email correspondences with others. This feature is particularly useful when you want to provide a complete context or reference to a previous email discussion.
I personally find this feature incredibly helpful in my own email communications. It allows me to share relevant conversations or provide a complete email thread without the need to download each individual email and then attach them separately. This saves me time and ensures that the recipient has all the necessary information in one attachment.
Gmail now allows you to attach emails without the need to download them first. You can either drag and drop the email into the draft window or use the “Forward as attachment” option from the overflow menu. This feature enhances convenience and efficiency in sharing email conversations and providing complete context within a new thread.
