This mysterious figure assisted in executing the Reaper’s plan to take out Hotchner. As a result, both Hotch and Jack had to enter witness protection, and Hotch officially resigned from his position in the BAU (Behavioral Analysis Unit) in order to protect his son from further danger. Jack was relocated to Elliott’s Pond, a safe location where he could remain safe under the care of his father and other agents.

Foyet shot Haley through the neck with an M1911 handgun, killing her instantly. Afterwards, he proceeded to repeatedly stab her post-mortem off-screen.
