Chicago PD’s Mouse: From Tech Analyst to Intelligence Unit

Today, we’re taking a look at the Intelligence Unit’s resident tech analyst, Greg “Mouse” Gurwitch. Mouse is portrayed by actor Samuel Hunt and first appeared in the third season of Chicago P.D.

As many fans know, Mouse has been essential to the team since his arrival. His tech skills have helped the team keep up with the ever-changing technology and crime trends in Chicago. He is also a highly skilled hacker who has proven himself invaluable to the team on countless occasions.

One of Mouse’s biggest contributions to the team was when he asked Voight to write a letter on his behalf in order to have a felony record buried so he could reenlist in the army. While Voight didn’t write it himself, Platt wrote it insted and Halstead attacked Mouse as response, which led Lindsay to separate them.

After this incident, Mouse quit his tech job and rejoined the unit, where he currently serves as an all-around tech expert for their investigations. His knowledge of computers and cyber security have been an integral part of their success on numerous cases over the past few seasons.

Although Mouse doesn’t always get along with everyone at first glance, it’s clear that he is loyal to his team and is willing to do whatever it takes for them to succeed in their investigations – even if it means putting himself at risk in some cases! We are so glad that Mouse chose to stay with the Intelligence Unit and can’t wait to see what else he brings to the table over these next few seasons!

The Reasons for Mouse’s Departure from PD

Mouse left the PD due to his felony conviction, which prevented him from enlisting in the Army. Despite Voight’s willingness to write a letter of recommendation for Mouse, Platt took it upon herself to write the letter instead. This resulted in Mouse beng able to reenlist in the Army and pursue his dream of serving his country. Mouse felt it was necessary to leave the PD so that he could serve his country and honorably contribute to society. His departure was a difficult decision, but ultimately it was necessary for him to do what was best for himself and others.

What Happened to Mouse on Chicago?

He is currently still serving in this capacity on Chicago P.D.

The Reasons Behind Sophie’s Departure From PD

Sophia Bush left “Chicago P.D.” at the end of Season 4 due to a number of factors, including what she descibed as “abusive behavior” and “intolerable” on-set conditions. In an interview with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast, she explained that there was a culture of “bullying” on set and that she felt like she had to choose between her career and her mental health. Bush also noted that there were issues with the writing and directing of her character, Erin Lindsay, which made it difficult for her to stay in the role. Ultimately, she decided that mental health was more important than fame or money.
