Answered by Phillip Nicastro

To add shapes in Google Slides, follow these steps:

1. Open your presentation in Google Slides and go to the slide where you want to add a shape.

2. At the top of the screen, click on the “Insert” tab.

3. From the drop-down menu, select “Shape”. A variety of shape options will appear.

4. Choose the shape you want to add by clicking on it. Some common shapes include rectangles, circles, arrows, and stars.

5. Click and drag on the slide to create the shape. You can adjust the size and position by clicking and dragging the corners or edges of the shape.

6. To customize the shape further, click on it to select it. A toolbar will appear at the top of the screen with options to change the fill color, line color, line thickness, and other formatting options.

7. You can also add text to the shape by double-clicking on it and typing directly into the shape. The text will automatically adjust to fit within the shape.

8. If you want to add additional shapes, simply repeat the steps above.

9. To move or resize a shape after adding it, click on the shape to select it and then click and drag the shape to a new location or adjust the size using the corner handles.

10. If you want to delete a shape, click on it to select it and press the “Delete” key on your keyboard.

Adding shapes in Google Slides allows you to enhance your presentations by visually representing concepts, highlighting important points, or creating diagrams. By following these steps, you can easily incorporate shapes into your slides and customize them to suit your needs.
