It seems that some changes are happening with the lineup of beers from Mickey’s. From what I’ve gathered, it appears that Mickey’s Ice will no longer be produced, but the other beers in their lineup will still be available.
Specifically, the 8-percent ABV Icehouse Edge is being discontinued, while regular Icehouse will continue to be brewed. Similarly, Milwaukee’s Best Premium is being retired, but the Light and Ice versions of the beer will still be brewed.
It’s always interesting to see how beer brands decide which products to keep and which ones to discontinue. Sometimes it’s based on popularity or sales figures, and other times it might be due to changes in consumer preferences or market trends.
I’ve personally had the chance to try some of these beers, and while they may not be the most high-end or craft options out there, they do have their own unique appeal. Mickey’s, in particular, has a loyal following for its distinct green bottles and iconic hornet mascot.
While it’s sad to see some beers go, it’s also important for breweries to adapt and make decisions that align with their overall business strategy. And who knows, maybe they’ll introduce new brews in the future that will become new favorites.
In the end, beer preferences can vary greatly from person to person, and what one person may enjoy, another may not. So, while it’s disappointing for fans of Mickey’s Ice or Icehouse Edge, there’s always a chance to discover new beers and find something else to enjoy.
