Oh man, let me tell you about the news I just heard. Amazon is dropping support for their Cloud Cam indoor security camera! Can you believe it? I mean, this camera launched back in 2017, and now they’re saying we won’t be able to use it anymore starting December 2, 2022.
I actually got an email from Amazon about it, where they explained that we won’t be able to use the Cloud Cam and all the companion apps anymore. It’s a real bummer because I’ve been using this camera to keep an eye on my home for a while now.
I remember when I first got the Cloud Cam. It was super easy to set up, and the video quality was really good. I could access the live feed from my phone or tablet, and it even had night vision so I could see what was happening in the dark. Plus, it had motion detection and alerts, so I would get notified whenever there was any activity in the camera’s field of view. It was a great way to keep tabs on my house when I was away.
But now, it seems like Amazon is moving on from the Cloud Cam and focusing on other products. I guess they must have their reasons, but it’s still disappointing for those of us who have come to rely on this camera for our home security.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do now that the Cloud Cam is being discontinued. I might have to look into other security camera options and see if there’s something else out there that can meet my needs. It’s just frustrating to have invested in a product that’s now being phased out.
So, that’s the scoop on what happened to Amazon’s cameras. It’s a real shame, but I guess we’ll have to find an alternative solution for our indoor security needs.
